Pyrya Bhirom-Bhakdi, the founder of Boon Rawd Brewery Co. Ltd, first brewed Singha beer in the early 1930’s. The brewery is still owned by the 3rd and 4th generation Bhirom-Bhakdi family. The company owns and operates 3 breweries and 6 factories it is the first and largest brewery in Thailand. Singha beer is currently available in 37 countries worldwide.

Singha beer was first introduced into the UK in 1976 by Peter and Pantipa Tirrell (Paleewong). Thirty years on, and the Tirrell family remain the sole distributors of Singha beer in the UK. Now trading as Entbe Ltd the sale and distribution Singha in the UK is currently managed by Geoffrey Tirrell. Currently, Entbe Ltd is the second largest international exporter of Singha beer from Thailand.
